You could see the culinary excitement in Sean’s eyes as he unwrapped the shiny new slow cooker he received as part of the gift exchange at the Living Resources Supportive Living Holiday party, a program he has been receiving support from for many years. His first thought was what delicious meals he would be able to make, yum!

Fast forward to Christmas Day, when the Supportive Living group again gathered to celebrate the holiday and enjoy the fabulous friendships they have grown to cherish. The holiday started off with a breakfast of eggs, turkey bacon, and juice. The friends then went for a walk to enjoy the unseasonably mild weather that the holiday offered this year.

Later in the day, armed with his new slow cooker, Sean skillfully prepared chicken and veggie soup to everyone’s delight and rave reviews. John brought a cake and a big Santa cookie for dessert, while Sean enjoyed his own single-portion diet cheesecake.

“It was so nice to hear them all laugh and have such a great time together,” shares Living Resources Supportive Living staff member Daryllyn Ward, “It brings me so much happiness and joy to watch the growth in each of them.”
